integrated gears within a housing.in fact,the name itself defines what it is -a box containing gear.in the most basic sense,a gerbox functions like any system of gear;it alters torpue and speed between a driving devices

like a motor and a load.

      the clutch sits between the engine and gearbox of the transmission with engine power disconnected from the transmission shifting gear is much easier and prevents damage to the transmission gears.this is why whenever you shift gear,you push the clutch pedal and disengage the clutch..

   what is a clutch?and its usues ;

                    the clutch is the part of car which connect two or more rotating shafts. in a manual transmission car,the clutch controls the connections between the shaft coming from the engine and the shafts which turn the wheels. it is a vital part of the car' working machinery as the engine generates power all the time,and has parts which are constantly rotating ,but the wheels are not constanty spinning.

                                 the allow the car to both change speed and to come to a complete stop without turing off the engine,the connectoin between the wheels and the engine needs to be temporarily broken.there are two main parts to your clutch:the clutch plate and the flywheels.if your foot is not  pressing down on the clutch pedal,there are set of springs which keep a pressure plate pushed up against the clutch plate.
